Four people were shot, including a New York police officer, at a major Brooklyn subway station during a horrific shooting in broad daylight.
The shooting took place at the Sutter Av station in East New York, Brooklyn, around 3 p.m. Officers at the scene are unsure if all of the civilians who were shot are the suspects or if one or more were bystanders.
The shooting followed reports of a disturbed person with a knife, but details were not immediately clear.
One officer was reported to have been shot in the right side of the torso.
A second officer was also taken to the hospital but was not shot.

The New York City Police Department wrote on its X account: “Due to a police investigation, please avoid the vicinity of Van Sinderen Avenue and Sutter Avenue in Brooklyn. Expect police presence and traffic delays in the surrounding area.”
Police said power was out on northbound and southbound tracks from north of Atlantic to south of Rockaway.
The New York City Police Department’s 75th Precinct declined DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
