Kate Winslet actor Mare of Easttown is a bona fide streaming hit.

Figures released by HBO on Tuesday show that four million viewers watched the season finale over Memorial Day, including three million on Sunday night.

The ratings are for both HBO and HBO Max, but the episode was also the most-watched of an original series ever on streaming platform HBO Max, according to Deadline.com.

Mare of Easttown, like another Original Series The Undoing, also saw sequential audience growth from week to week throughout its seven episodes.

The numbers are expected to rise as people catch up with the series.

Meanwhile, Winslet has said she would love to reprise the character of Mare Sheehan, a small-town detective from Pennsylvania.

Though conceived as a one-off limited series. the British actress, 45, told TV line that “it was an absolutely amazing role.”

“I would love to play Mare again. I miss her. I really. It’s the strangest. I feel like I’m in mourning,” Winslet said.

She added that there was “something really addictive about Mare, because she’s so outrageous and sweet and brilliant and real, you know? I loved playing her.’

If HBO decided to bring Mare of Easttown back for a second season, it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve renewed a limited series.

The network’s hit drama Big Little Lies, based on Lianne Moriarty’s novel of the same name, was a hit with critics and audiences alike, earning Emmy Awards for Outstanding Limited Series and a directorial award for Jean-Marc Vallee.

The show was officially brought back for a second season, with series creator David E. Kelley adapting the show from a new Moriarty novella.
