Four children are burned alive in an arson attack in a Spanish apartment building days after a man was kicked out of the apartment for starting a fire on the ground floor.

Four children were killed and several people injured in a fire in a four-story building in the Spanish city of Vigo.
Regional emergency services confirmed this morning that all those who died in the tragedy were minors. We don’t yet know how old they were.
Eight people were reportedly hospitalized.
The fire broke out around 4 a.m. this morning in a residential building said to house five houses on each of its four floors, in the neighborhood called As Travesas.
A government-run regional emergency response coordination center said in an initial tweet: “Several people lost their lives and others were injured by the flames.”

He said in a later post on social media: “Four people lost their lives, all minors.
“Eight people were taken to different hospitals.
“Psychologists specializing in major emergencies have been mobilized.”
The mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, reportedly went there.

The fire was brought under control and police forensic experts cordoned off the building where the fire broke out so they could carry out an inspection when temperatures cooled.
Vigo is famous for its Christmas lights. Last year, 11 million LED lights were installed on more than 400 of its streets.
A devastating fire at a nightclub in Murcia, southeastern Spain, in the early hours of October 1 claimed the lives of 13 people. The cause remains under investigation by police.
