A teenage girl is in critical condition and three other people remain at large after she was allegedly stabbed in the back during an altercation.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Fortitude Valley, central Brisbane, at about 1.45pm on Monday.
Queensland Police have been informed that a group of teenagers were involved in an altercation.
One of them was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries, a police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.
A crime scene has been established on Alfred Street as detectives launched an investigation.
The area was cordoned off as forensic officers collected samples from a storm drain outside the Centre to Counter Child Exploitation.
Security cameras at a nearby business captured the group walking before the incident.
“It looked like they were coming from school, they didn’t seem nervous, they were going in the same direction,” the business owner said. mail.

‘They were walking quite naturally, they weren’t running towards me, if they passed me I wouldn’t think they were up to anything; they were heading back to the train station.
‘Around the corner after dark on the weekend is pretty bad; it’s not a bad place during the day, this street is good.’
The other three girls remain at large.
It is believed that everyone knows each other.
