A US military installation in Georgia was put on lockdown early Saturday morning.

Fort Eisenhower, in Augusta, posted on its official media pages that they would immediately initiate lockdown procedures.

They urged anyone in danger to ‘take appropriate action’, but did not comment on what prompted the introduction of the procedures.

The base is the current home of the US Army Signal Cops, Cyber ​​Command and the Cyber ​​Center of Excellence.

WRDW reported that a fire truck and an emergency medical vehicle were seen heading toward one of the facility’s gates.

Nearly an hour after the original warning was issued, they announced that the “dangerous event was over” and gave the go-ahead.
