I simply lack confidence in the rear of the car and the set-up.
We worked a bit from session to session, we changed the car quite a bit, but the underlying problem is with the rear end which it was struggling with.
So I had a couple of really big moments. In these high-speed areas you need to have complete faith in the rear of the car, and I don’t have that yet.
We’ll have to look at the data and stuff, but George (Russell) is obviously much happier with his car.
Obviously there has been a lot of coverage around this. But we must return to the basis of the complaint that was raised. It was thoroughly investigated and was dismissed. And from there we move forward.
I think a lot has been gained from this. Obviously, it has been of great interest in different elements of the media for different reasons. I think now is the time to look forward and put an end to it. We are here to run.
We are here as a Formula 1 team and now it is time to focus on what is happening on the track and the performance of the cars and the drivers and where the focus should be over the course of a grand prix weekend. .
