Donald Trump called his allies after the second assassination attempt on his life on Sunday to reassure them and describe the second incident in just two months.

Donald Trump has called on a wave of allies following a second assassination attempt on his life on Sunday.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), Trump’s former White House physician, was among those who spoke with the former president.

He was also the one who treated Trump’s wound after a bullet grazed his right ear during the first assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

This time there are no injuries to assess because the gunman was unable to fire any shots before being attacked by the former president’s security team.

“He told me he was always glad to hear from me, but he was glad he didn’t need my services today,” Jackson said. According to The New York Times.

Donald Trump called his allies after the second assassination attempt on his life on Sunday to reassure them and describe the second incident in just two months.

“I told him I was glad he was OK and he said he couldn’t believe this had happened,” Jackson added. “But he said he was OK and the team was OK.”

Jackson was traveling with Trump the day after the attempted assassination of Butler when a bullet passed inches from his brain.

And just two hours after the Secret Service shot a man with a gun at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Trump called his former doctor.

Trump was playing a round of golf Sunday afternoon with real estate investor Steve Witkoff, a friend and campaign donor, when shots were fired at a suspected assassin near holes five, six and eight of the Trump International Golf Club.

An agent on Trump’s advance team spotted the muzzle of a rifle protruding from the chain-link fence amid the trees and brush surrounding the former president’s golf course, two holes ahead of where he was playing.

In a call with Sean Hannity on Sunday, Trump, an avid golfer who has played with the Fox News host, jokingly lamented that he was upset that his game was interrupted.

“They were on the fifth hole, they were about to putt,” Hannity said on Fox News, adding that the group heard “pop, pop, pop, pop” before the Secret Service swooped on Trump to protect him.

A steel-reinforced car took him away.

Trump was disappointed that he couldn’t finish his putt and said he was destined to shoot under par.

Hannity said Trump told him: ‘I was tied and had a birdie putt.’
