Dietzmann, of Texas, was identified through a coordinated investigation with the Dallas Police Department and the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office after posting a video of him driving 150 mph on Interstate 25 between Colorado Springs and Denver.

After he was wanted for arrest on suspicion of reckless endangerment, he was arrested Tuesday in his native Texas on an assault charge in Denton County.

Dietzmann was booked into a county jail on Wednesday, according to county records, although online court records also note that Dietzmann was arrested Wednesday on a warrant related to his speeding charges.

Capt. Orlando Hinojosa, a Denton County sheriff’s spokesman, said he had no further details about the arrest, according to the denver mail.

El Paso County, Colorado, was listed on the arrest record because they would have to extradite Dietzmann from Texas.

In Colorado, Dietzmann was also wanted for participating in a speed contest, exceeding the speed limit by more than 40 mph, participating in a speed exhibition and driving without license plates.

State officials alleged that Dietzmann’s stunts endangered “several hundred people.”

The since-deleted YouTube video, titled “From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 Minutes,” was posted to Dietzmann’s channel in September.

The trip usually takes about an hour on Interstate 25, which has a speed limit of 65 MPH or 75 MPH, depending on the exact location.

An arrest warrant was issued on December 5, and Colorado police re-publicized their case in a press release two weeks ago.

“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” said spokesman Sgt. Troy Kessler said in a statement.

“We care too much about those who travel our roads to ignore the blatant disregard for the safety of others,” he said.

Adding: ‘If you drive like this you can expect to be arrested when you are located.

‘This is the best outcome for a person who drives violently as the slightest mistake could result in their death or that of an innocent person in the area.
