Former teen heartthrob Chad Michael Murray flaunts his fit physique in newly released stills from his upcoming film The Merry Gentlemen.
The One Tree Hill alum, 43, stars in the Netflix Christmas movie, which features an all-men’s Christmas-themed magazine.
In the first look photos, Murray is seen dancing shirtless, showing off his toned biceps and sculpted abs. He puts on a cowboy hat and jeans for a performance, and then a Cabaret-style bowler hat and suspenders.
Joining Murray in the film are Britt Robertson, Marla Sokoloff, Hector David Jr., Colt Prattes and Marc Anthony Samuel, all of whom appear in the first look images.
“We have to change things a little bit and go further,” Murray told Tudum of the new film on Wednesday. “We take a lot of the tropes that have been created for this particular genre and make fun of them with great pleasure.”

The plot follows a former big-city dancer (played by Robertson) who hosts an all-male Christmas-themed revue in an attempt to save her parents’ small-town performance venue.
Murray’s character, Luke, is a “kind, confident and slightly sarcastic” contractor who helps Ashley’s family at the Rhythm Room.
“You’re thrust into an unfamiliar situation and pushed to the edge of your comfort,” Murray told the outlet.
The star also said that she fully embraced the dance routines that come with the role; and he reportedly took his preparation seriously.
“It was something I had never done. I was like, ‘Oh, this scares me to death. I have to do this,'” she revealed. “I made a bunch of phone calls and said, ‘Let’s rehearse as long as possible.'”
The extensive practice sessions fostered a strong camaraderie among the cast of The Merry Gentlemen.
Murray noted, “If you’re going to do it, you have to go all out,” and emphasized that each member contributed their unique talents to the film while supporting each other.
“When I read the script, I thought, ‘This is my kind of Christmas movie!'” Robertson told Tudum. “I didn’t even have to do any burlesque. “I can just watch a really talented group of guys do it.”
The cast also includes Beth Broderick, Michael Gross and Maxwell Caulfield.
