Former President Bill Clinton, 78, was hospitalized Monday and is being tested, according to a former staff member.
Angel Urena, Clinton’s former deputy chief of staff, told CNN that the former president had been admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, but is doing “fine.”
‘He remains cheerful and greatly appreciates the excellent care he receives.’
Urena added that the former president hopes to be home and out of the hospital in time for Christmas.
NBC News reported that Clinton received precautionary care after developing a fever.
According to the newspaper, it was ‘not an emergency’.
