Indiana police have issued a Silver Alert for the missing son of a former NFL player, who is believed to be in extreme danger amid abuse allegations against the parents.
Byrson Muir, the 14-year-old son of retired Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Daniel Muir, was last seen leaving a family member’s home in Ohio two weeks ago, according to Indiana State Police, who are now says parents Daniel and Kristen have not been cooperative.
“Earlier today, Daniel and Kristen Muir had agreed to bring their 14-year-old son Bryson to meet with ISP investigators at the Peru Post,” Indiana State Police explained in a news release.
“The agreement was to meet at 12:00 pm. At approximately 11:00 am, the Muirs withdrew from that agreement, indicating an unwillingness to cooperate.”
Police cautioned that the investigation is still ongoing and urged anyone with information to call Peru Post at 1-800-382-0689.

Described as a 6-foot-2, 180-pound black man with black hair and brown eyes, Bryson was last seen with a bruise around his eye, as shown in a photograph shared by police. The boy’s grandmother recently reported the black eye to police and told officers that her grandson may be a victim of abuse at the hands of his parents.
According to police, Bryson was seen leaving a family member’s home in suburban Cleveland on June 16 in his mother Kirsten’s white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The car, which Kirsten was said to be driving, belongs to a Kokomo, Indiana, organization known as the Servant Leader’s Foundation.
However, when police stopped the vehicle in Garfield Heights shortly after leaving the residence, Bryson was no longer in the vehicle.
Bryson, 14, is described as 6-foot-2, 185 pounds black chainmail with black hair and brown eyes.
Former Colts nose tackle Daniel Muir has worked as a pastor at Straitway Truth Ministries in Indiana.
Two days later, the Cass County Department of Child Services called Indiana State Police to investigate allegations of domestic battery against Bryson at the Muir family home in Logansport, Indiana.
Like the car, that property is owned by the Servant Leader’s Foundation, according to Indiana State Police.
Efforts by DailyMail.com to contact the Muir family and the Servant Leader’s Foundation have been unsuccessful.
Daniel, 40, is a Washington, D.C., native who played at Kent State before going undrafted in 2007. He eventually signed with the Green Bay Packers before spending three seasons with the Colts and parts of the 2012 campaign. with the New York Jets.
Daniel has also served as a pastor at Straitway Truth Ministries. Former Packers star Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila also joined that ministry after denouncing Christianity. according to SI.com.
Four months ago, the Tennessee-based ministry posted a video online of a “Pastor Muir” preaching to a congregation.
