Former NFL offensive lineman Gabe Ikard has revealed that his wife, Caroline, suffered a miscarriage on Wednesday night.
Ikard described the traumatic time when his family lost their unborn daughter on social media with the caption, “We love you so much, baby girl. We’ll see you someday,” with a heart and broken heart emojis.
Ikard was a three-time All-American center at Oklahoma before bouncing around with various NFL teams for five seasons.
“My wife had a stomach ache late last night and went to the emergency room,” Ikard posted on ‘
‘We have lost her. We are devastated. Please pray for her. We will always wonder what she would be like and we will miss her every day. we just hope she knows how much we love her.”
“We struggle to understand why this happened, but believe God simply needed her now.”
