Miranda never pursued an acting career after her time in Neighbours.

She recently completed a nursing degree at Monash University in Melbourne during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Miranda was later offered a postgraduate position at Monash Hospital in the neuroscience department and also considered a master’s degree in that field.

She married her fiancé Arthur Pothitis in November 2020 in a beach ceremony in Melbourne’s Aspendale.

Her family said in a statement: “True soul mates, Miranda and Arthur were making plans to start their family when she went to sleep one day last week and never woke up. We don’t know why.

“She had some health problems with her heart. Maybe her beautiful personality was just too good for this world of ours. We, who all loved her so much, will cherish the memories she left us and mourn our loss forever.

‘A beautiful child, beautiful teenager, beautiful inside and out… a woman, given and received with such love and happiness. So many friends, so much to offer this world, gone.’

Miranda’s family awaits a coroner’s report.
