Daria Varlamova has revealed she suffered a concussion in a car accident on Good Friday.
The former Miss Universe Australia suffered a concussion and whiplash after her car was rear-ended by a minibus on Victoria’s Calder Highway.
“I was eating my protein ball in the back, I was sitting in the back seat, and the next thing I knew there was a big collision and the car suddenly stopped,” the 28-year-old told Herald of the sun.
“I could hear all the glass breaking behind me and metal creaking.”
The beauty queen was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries and fortunately she has recovered.

‘It can happen very quickly and it can happen to anyone. Please be careful,” Daria later said on Instagram.
“For me, this experience was more mentally jarring than anything else,” the model continued.
‘As a former support worker, I once cared for a young man who was in a car accident (the other driver was at fault).
“His life was turned upside down because of someone’s recklessness,” he wrote.

The ambitious psychotherapy student emigrated from Russia to Perth at the age of eight and was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2021.
She clinched the title while sitting in her Melbourne apartment, watching the national final which was held virtually for the second year in a row due to the pandemic.
The blonde beauty, who describes herself as “born in Russia, raised in Western Australia and living in Melbourne”, first entered the pageant at the age of 19, but was devastated when she didn’t make it to the state final . In 2020 she was fourth finalist.
Persistence paid off for the self-proclaimed “travel addict” when she triumphed out of 29 finalists, with New South Wales’ Mia Brooks coming in second place.
