Sage Steele’s political views have been part of her brand since her initial suspension from ESPN in 2021. Now, the former SportsCenter host has taken on the Donald Trump campaign alongside Danica Patrick.
Patrick and Steele were photographed together wearing pink ‘Women for Trump’ t-shirts while making political stops in Georgia.
The jock couple also took photos with Lara Trump, Tulsi Gabbard and others between campaign events at a local donut shop.
It’s not surprising that Steele’s conservative views led her to endorse Trump, as her suspension from ESPN was due in part to her comments about former President Barack Obama.
During a podcast appearance with Jay Cutler, Steele said he didn’t like that Obama called himself black because, like her, he has a white mother.

Steele ultimately left ESPN last year after settling a lawsuit against the company, alleging it censored his free speech.
“If we truly love this country, we can no longer afford to live in fear,” Steele said on social media Thursday. ‘It’s time to do what’s right for all Americans. Facts about feelings. Policies on personality. It really is so simple.’
“It was amazing to spend time with @laraleatrump, some of the many Trump 47 campaign supporters and volunteers in Atlanta.”
Steele claimed that during his time at ESPN the network asked him not to talk about transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.
Thomas represented the University of Pennsylvania as a male athlete before moving on to compete as a female. She then won a women’s national championship.

Steele was among those who expressed opposition on social media to Thomas and other biological males competing in women’s sports.
Steele also spoke out after his friend Sam Ponder was fired by ESPN earlier this year.
“This is another loss for ESPN, but it’s a gain literally for the rest of the world because now you’ll see the real Sam Ponder,” Steele said on social media months ago.
Steele also made sure to let the Trump supporters he spoke to this week know how he felt while working at ESPN.
‘It is a great honor for me to be here and no longer be afraid, afraid to be true to who I am and to all of you. “I think the last two years have taught me that if we live in fear, we pay for it and our children pay for it,” Steele said during the election campaign.
“Living in fear for so long is not right, it’s not the America I grew up in.”
Patrick has been as outspoken in the political arena for years as his new best friend Steele.
The racing legend’s endorsement of Trump came weeks ago, with an exclamation point for American critics: “You can leave if you want.’
Throughout his NASCAR career, and after the fact, Patrick, 42, has maintained several high-profile relationships.
She dated fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr from 2012 to 2017, which was exclusively while the couple were on separate teams. After Stenhouse, she dated then-Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for a two-year period.
