Former college football star Robert Shiver has still not told his children that his wife Lindsay has been arrested after being accused of conspiring to kill him with her Bahamian lover and a suspected hitman.
Lindsay Shiver, 36, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of plotting to kill her husband with her boyfriend Terrence Bethel, 28, and Farron Newbold, 29.
The trio had been arrested on Guana Island after police uncovered the plot, before being flown to the capital Nassau, as the country has only one prison.
It has since been confirmed that Robert Shiver has yet to tell his three sons under 12 about the entire ordeal, according to the New York Post.
Shiver reportedly intends to tell the children what their mother is accused of “within a day or two” and has refrained from telling them out of concern for their well-being.

Shiver remains in custody for plotting to hire a hitman to kill her husband
A spokesperson for Shiver declined a DailyMail.com request for comment.
Shiver’s alleged plot to murder her husband came after the two were locked in a bitter custody battle, despite the mother sharing picture-perfect images of her family on social media.
The couple were fighting over custody of their three young sons, as well as the future of their multimillion-dollar estate, according to FoxNews.
Part of the ongoing dispute was over ownership of the $2.5 million, 8,000 square foot family home in Thomasville, where the couple lived. The family also owns a home in the Bahamas, where Lindsay is accused of starting her affair with Bethel.
When Robert found out about her affair, he filed for divorce.

Court documents reveal the couple were due to appear in Thomas County Superior Court on July 20, where they filed counterclaims against each other. While accusing her of “adulterous conduct”, Lindsay had countered with accusations of “cruel physical and mental treatment”.
But four days before they faced off in front of a judge, Shiver’s alleged plot was uncovered, where she and Bether planned to seek help from suspected hitman Newbold, police said.
The scheme was uncovered by cops while investigating reports of a break-in at Grabber’s Bar and Grill, where they came across allegedly incriminating WhatsApp messages about the scheme.
After the three were hauled before a judge on Friday, Shiver’s defense team filed an urgent bail request for the mother-of-three to be released the same day, which was denied because that the prosecutors objected to it and that she was not sick, juvenile, old. or pregnant, reported Bahamian Courts News.

When they appeared in court after their arrest, the three were not required to plead guilty. The group is then due in court on October 5, when an indictment will be served on them, cops said.
Robert and Lindsay met during a fitness class at Auburn University in August 2007, according to her Instagram account.
