Former AFL and Big Brother Australia star Daniel Gorringe got a little carried away at a Travis Scott concert

Former AFL star Daniel Gorringe has more than a few regrets after a video of him dancing at a Travis Scott concert went viral.

Gorringe was selected by the Gold Coast Suns with the 10th pick in the 2010 national draft and made his AFL debut in 2011.

He played a total of 26 AFL games throughout his career, with 22 games for Gold Coast from 2011 to 2015 and 4 games for Carlton in 2016.

Gorringe’s career was plagued by injuries, including ankle, hamstring and Achilles problems, leading him to retire at the end of the 2017 season.

After retiring from AFL football, Daniel Gorringe took part in Big Brother Australia in 2020, finishing second, and has since built a significant social media presence while running his own podcast.

An influential figure in hip hop, Scott has achieved significant success with four consecutive number one albums on the Billboard 200, including Utopia in 2023.

He is currently on his Circus Maximus stadium tour, which includes multiple performances in Australia, following a successful tour in Europe and the UK.

His recent track ‘FE!N’, featuring Playboi Carti, is from his acclaimed album Utopia and happens to be one of Gorringe’s personal favourites.

The Dan Does Footy presenter was filmed tackling Travis Scott’s hit with a host of much younger fans cheering him on.

So he decided to face the music and talk to the thousands of spectators who watched his strange dance moves.

“I think the best thing we can do here is get in front of this thing before it comes out,” he said as he watched footage of himself hitting the ground to the music.

‘So, I got a little carried away with Travis Scott.

‘I’m not sure what I’m doing here. I put the car keys in my pocket and then… I just can’t dance, so it’s embarrassing.’

Gorringe said he was too old for such antics and revealed that it was his younger peers pressuring him that led to the embarrassing dance routine.

“You know, it’s time to grow up,” he continued.

‘What am I doing? It’s a Tuesday night. I’m 32 years old, I want to be in bed at 10 at night and here I am just jumping on it.

“You’re probably wondering, ‘Oh, this is the same video with different angles.’ No, no, no. He played it 10 times.

“I was begging Travis Scott to stop playing FE!N because my teammates pressured me to make this move. It’s not my fault.

Gorringe was only able to play 26 AFL games as injuries cruelly ended his career and forced his premature retirement from the sport.

However, one viewer disagreed, saying, “I have video proof of you saying ‘yeah let’s go again,'” they posted.

“I tell myself every Sunday that it’s time for you to act your age… that never happens,” another viewer responded.

While some viewers found the football star’s antics embarrassing, others said he was being too hard on himself.

“I just want to be among the boys, there’s nothing wrong with that classmate,” one responded.

“Biggest off-season scandal since crazy GWS Wednesday,” added another.

Having the best time of your life! “Pocket check though I thought you were twerking,” another posted.
