Tens of millions of pints of beer will be delivered to pubs in England in time for the start of Alfresco April in eight days.
While drinkers eagerly await that long-awaited sip, breweries are working around the clock to keep up with next week’s anticipated high demand for supplies.
Figures from hospitality website Caterer.com show that four million people booked to visit locations across the country in the two weeks following April 12.

The reopening of the sector, including hotels and cinemas and pubs, is expected to boost the economy by £ 2.4 billion in the first month.
Customers are expected to spend an average of £ 167 per person in pubs and restaurants alone.
The bosses of Molson Coors, the UK’s second largest brewery, said production at the Staffordshire headquarters had gained momentum.
A spokesperson said, “At our Burton brewery alone, we now have 300,000 hectoliters of Carling in the tank, ready to be delivered – that’s over 50 million pints.”
The equivalent of more than eight billion pints – in both pub and license sales – were consumed in the UK in 2019.
