New York City police are looking for a man who walked into a store and cut the nose of a female manager.
The suspect was videotaped as he entered Steph’s Designs in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan and approached the victim as she sat behind the counter on Friday afternoon.
The attacker had a quick verbal exchange with the 22-year-old woman, identified by the store as Desteny, then reached over the counter and hit her with a sharp object.
The man then ran out of the store and ran across the street to the amazement of a group of men playing dominoes on the sidewalk.

Desteny posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account and on a GoFundMe page after her attack on Friday at a store where she works as a manager in Manhattan. The motive for the attack is unknown

None of the merchandise was stolen from the store.
DailyMail.com contacted the store and the alleged victim for comment; it is unclear whether the victim knows the alleged perpetrator.
A separate video posted to the store’s Instagram page showed the suspect pacing in front of the store on March 19 while allegedly “ looking for someone. ”
However, Desteny was off from work that day.
‘I never thought I would be the one to post this about myself, but on March 26, 2021 I almost lost my life, I am beyond grateful and blessed to be alive!’ Desteny wrote on Instagram after sharing a photo of herself from a hospital bed.

As of Monday afternoon, no more arrests had been reported.
A fundraiser initiated through GoFundMe generated at least $ 25,000 in donations.
“A random man entered this young lady’s workplace and cut her face,” a note on the donation page said. She is currently in hospital and blessed to be alive, but still [conscious] that she now needs several reconstruction operations. She will be out of work until God knows when she has high medical bills.
