Patrick Cripps is a father after welcoming his first child with his wife Monique on Thursday.
Carlton captain Cripps, 29, took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting adorable photos of his daughter Koda Sophie Cripps and her mother on the social media platform.
“Welcome to the world little Koda Sophie Cripps,” the couple wrote in a joint post.
He added ‘3 votes – Monfon’ along with two love heart emojis.
The pair’s new arrival comes at an opportune time, as Cripps will fly to Adelaide for Gather Round this weekend.

The Blues captain says he would have returned to Melbourne to attend the birth if Koda had arrived over the weekend.
“It’s exciting, it’s our first, so everything is about to change for us,” he told Fox Footy.
‘I’m flying a little later with the team and we’ll fly back that night. We’re all prepared, you can be prepared however you want, but you never know what will happen.’
Meanwhile, Monique told News Corp before the birth that she was feeling good after a rocky start to her pregnancy.
“I feel good now, I was very sick during the first half,” she said.
Carlton captain Patrick married Monique in Western Australia in December 2022.
‘I must arrive at the beginning of April; we’ll make sure we don’t (miss a game) unless it’s early.
‘It’s exciting now that I feel good.
‘(Patrick) is excited and he’s getting nervous, but it’s a good time of year.
‘There will be a gang of girls in the club, it’s very nice. They are all daring queens.
Cripps, who won the 2022 Brownlow Medal, married Monique in December of that year in Western Australia.
Last year, he led the Blues to their first preliminary final victory in 23 years and has made a good start to the new campaign, with Michael Voss’s side unbeaten in three games.
