A soccer player died suddenly at the age of 21 after being hit by a truck.

Jamie Brown, who plays for the Camden Cats Senior AFL club, was struck Thursday at noon on Cobbitty Road, Cobbitty, in southwest Sydney.

He sustained severe head and leg wounds and was flown to Liverpool Hospital where he died on Saturday.

Tributes have been deposited on social media by friends and family who remembered him as a & # 39; enjoyable, adventurous & # 39; person.

The 41-year-old male driver of the ute has undergone mandatory blood and urine tests and has been interviewed by the police.

NSW Police said no one has been arrested or charged and the investigation is ongoing.

Loved ones went to Facebook to honor Brown and expressed their condolences.
