Police have charged Brisbane Broncos star Ezra Mam with drug driving after he allegedly tested positive for an illegal drug after crashing his car into another vehicle on October 18.

The 21-year-old was ordered to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 16 after charges were laid on Wednesday.

Mum also received a traffic offense notice for failing to maintain vehicle control during the collision in Brisbane, in which her Ford Ranger collided head-on with an Uber.

Police gave the five-eighths star a roadside drug test after the incident and it reportedly returned a positive result.

He underwent further tests to confirm the first result. The second sample reportedly tested positive on Tuesday.

Mom has been charged with one count of driving while the relevant drug is present in the blood and one count of operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

He was reportedly moving house when the accident occurred in the inner-north Brisbane suburb of Bardon.

The Uber passengers were mother and daughter.

The mother claimed that she and her four-year-old daughter were hospitalized after the accident and that the girl suffered a broken hip in the incident.
