Former football star turned coach Nathan Brown has made huge profits from his seafront home in the Sutherland Shire.

Brown, 50, retired from football due to a neck injury in 2000 and bought the stunning property with his wife, children’s fashion retailer Tanya, in 2009 for $1.69 million from the Tynam family.

They have since sold the Caringbah South home for $6.6 million and rebuilt it in 2018 following fire damage.

The Browns built a three-level, five-bedroom home on the Port Hacking River, with several wraparound balconies overlooking the bay.

The former New Zealand Warriors coach attempted to sell the property in 2018 for the empty house, but was unable to raise the $3.75 million he was seeking.

He attempted to sell the house again in 2022 while in New Zealand. The Brown family moved to the Gold Coast after selling the house on Gannons Rd.

Brown married Tanya Priddle in 1999 and had previously lived on the Dolans Bay waterfront.

The couple met two years earlier after Brown’s teammate Mark Coyne introduced him to his family’s nanny.
