Triple J presenter Dee Salmin has made a revealing statement on social media after coming under fire for why she is not living with her AFL star boyfriend Darcy Moore.
In July, Darcy and Dee’s living arrangements became the talk of the AFL, with fans labeling the Collingwood captain “woke” and blaming their unorthodox relationship for a slump in form.
Salmin surprised when he revealed in a podcast why they do not live together.
“I don’t live with my partner at the moment. We have very different, independent and busy lives,” Salmin said.
‘We can have a lot of what we had when we were still single in our relationship.
‘But I wonder how much you can maintain that when you end up living together. “A lot of this is heterodynamic learned behaviors that you could fall into.”
His quote about “heterodynamic learned behaviors” caused a storm on social media.
Many fans said Salmin’s lengthy explanation of why they live apart, complete with feminist buzzwords and therapeutic language, made them roll their eyes.

Salmin explained their living conditions by saying that they live separately because otherwise “heterodynamic learned behaviors” could be perpetuated.
In October, the Sunday Hook Up host shared a photo on Instagram of her and Darcy attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne, along with a comment she had received from a troll.
“Darcy has money, fame and elite football skills, but she switched her gonads to a feminist witch,” the troll wrote.
Salmin played a cover of the Eagles’ 1972 classic, Witchy Woman, upon his post and captioned it with some fancy words, saying he was “immortalizing” the “gonads” comment as “the biggest compliment I’ve ever received.”
It seems Salmin really got excited about the comment, as she’s now edited her Instagram bio to call herself “a gonad-stealing feminist witch.”

The Sunday Hook Up presenter was inspired by this shocking comment from a football fan, which she described as “the biggest compliment I have ever received”.
The Collingwood star and Salmin (pictured together while on holiday in England) have been dating since 2023.
Collingwood loyalists had mixed reactions, with some even linking Salmin’s comments to Moore’s struggles to find form on the field.
Others simply found Salmin’s interview confusing due to his use of progressive terminology.
Moore and Salmin first sparked rumors that they were dating when they were photographed holding hands at the opening night of the Moulin Rouge in Melbourne in October 2023.
They later confirmed their romance by hitting the red carpet together at several exclusive A-List events.
