- Reporter sends fan his way and gets into a fight
NRL reporter Lara Pitt showed her professional poise in the face of a fan shouting F-bombs during a live center following the Roosters’ 13-12 win over the Sharks.
Pitt was reporting live as disappointed Sharks fans left PointsBet Stadium – and some just couldn’t help themselves when they saw the camera.
The Fox Sports presenter was speaking when a fan stopped and shouted: “F**k the Roosters, f**k the Roosters” while turning off the camera.
Rather than ignore the unruly fan, Pitt turned on the man during the live televised moment.
“OK, it’ll be fine, buddy,” she told him, and the man left.

Seconds later, another group of rowdy fans appeared to disrupt the broadcast.
“Anything can happen here, but I’m going to get through it,” Pitt said.
As fans became more and more unruly, host Yvonne Sampson decided to move on.
“Lara, you’ve done a great job and I think we’re going to have to give these locals a shout out, but great update, thank you,” Sampson said.
“Oh man, I had so much more to say,” Pitt laughed.
As fans seemed to have moved on, Sampson added, “Do it now, quickly.”
Pitt tried to continue but the football fans were relentless, shouting, “Hey Mom,” “I love you, Mom” and “Up the Knights.”
Pitt replied: “Yeah, go to Newcastle tomorrow”, before returning to the studio.

Football fans watching the chaotic broadcast were quick to congratulate the journalist’s class
“I think I’m going to have to wrap it up because I don’t know what’s going to happen here,” she said.
Fans watching at home were quick to post on social media about Pitt’s composure in a difficult situation.
“Well done @LaraPitt_, great work after the match. You kept your cool in difficult circumstances,” one said.
“Absolute class from @LaraPitt_ in the face of completely boorish Sharks ‘fans’,” said another.
“Lara Pitt is very professional and a very good sports journalist,” said a third.
