NRL coach Anthony Seibold’s neighbor has been charged with allegedly mistakenly shooting at Mr Seibold’s home and keeping a cache of illegal weapons.
Police attended the home of the Manly Sea Eagles coach on Tuesday night at North Curl Curl on Sydney’s northern beaches, where they discovered the alleged mishap.
They claim they also found an arsenal of weapons on their 88-year-old neighbor’s property.
Seibold said no one was injured in the incident.
“We have a lovely neighbor who… unfortunately there was an accident where a bullet went through the garage,” Mr Seibold told Nine News.
“Look, it wasn’t anything sinister,” he said.
Police arrived at the home around 8:30 p.m. after a woman reported finding what appeared to be a bullet hole in the garage door.
Officers searched the home and allegedly found evidence of more shots fired through a wooden fence and one bullet grazed an exterior wall of Mr. Seibold’s home.
Anthony Seibold (pictured with his wife in 2018) said the shots allegedly fired at his home were “nothing sinister.”

Police attended Mr Seibold’s home in North Curl Curl (pictured) where they allegedly found bullet holes.
“Following investigations, police spoke to a neighbor and executed a warrant at the scene,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
Police will allege they found a .22-caliber handgun, a double-barreled muzzle-loading rifle and a box of ammunition.
Police filed five charges against Mr. Seibold’s neighbor, including discharging a firearm in a manner likely to injure persons/property, two counts of possession of an unauthorized firearm and two counts of failing to store firearm safely.
Police will allege the 88-year-old did not have a license to possess firearms or ammunition.
The man is expected to appear at Manly Local Court on March 5.
Manly Sea Eagles top brass offered Seibold a new coaching contract last year.
It came after his team reached the second week of finals before bowing out to the Roosters.
He will now lead the Brookvale boys until the end of 2027.
