The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo shared festive snaps on social media as footballers posed alongside the WAGs and their children on Christmas Day.
Players have been preparing to enjoy the day, although many will also be training ahead of a chaotic post-Christmas period with a series of games taking place around the world.
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City will be among the teams in action on Boxing Day, with eight games in total before two more (Brighton v Brentford and Arsenal v Ipswich) take place on December 27.
But in addition to a few trips to the training ground, players posed alongside their families in social media posts to show fans how they’re spending Christmas.
At the forefront of the festivities was Ronaldo, who shared an online post with his 645 million Instagram followers while sitting alongside his model wife Georgina Rodriguez and their five children, all dressed in matching pajamas.
The caption read: “The most important part of Christmas,” accompanied by a Christmas tree emoji.
Cristiano Ronaldo shared an image of his family gathered around a table in matching pajamas on social media.
Lionel Messi posed on social networks with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their children
Alejandro Garnacho huddled in front of the tree with his girlfriend Eva García and their young son.
Bernardo Silva sat in front of his tree with his partner Inés Tomaz and his daughter Carlota
Lisandro Martínez’s partner, Muri López Benítez, is pregnant but still found time for a photo
Luis Díaz’s family of four posed for a photo, with Liverpool taking on Leicester on Boxing Day
Pedro Neto was all smiles with his partner Carolina Silva and their two dogs.
Marc Cucurella’s family sat in front of the tree – and a large gonk – wearing matching blue pajamas
Luka Modric put on a Christmas sweater sitting next to his partner and three children.
Emiliano Martínez, for his part, sat with his wife Amanda and the couple’s two children.
Potentially, fortunately for Ronaldo, Al-Nassr will be out of action until January 9, meaning the former Manchester United star has a break until he returns to the field.
Lionel Messi, for his part, shared two photographs through his wife’s Instagram account. He smiled on the arm of Antonela Roccuzzo, and then again with the couple’s three children.
Elsewhere, in terms of Premier League stars, Emiliano Martínez prepared to sit with his wife Amanda and the couple’s two children, Luis Díaz snuggled up with his family of four and Alejandro Garnacho reclined in front of a tree with his girlfriend Eva García and his young son.
Across Manchester, Bernardo Silva was seen sitting in front of his Christmas tree alongside his partner Inés Tomaz, with their daughter Carlota, who was born earlier this year, on the Manchester City star’s shoulders.
He will likely line up against Everton on Boxing Day as Pep Guardiola’s side look to turn around their terrible form.
Garnacho’s team-mate Lisandro Martínez appeared to put Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth behind him as he stood alongside pregnant teammate Muri López Benítez.
Marc Cucurella’s family wore matching pajamas in Chelsea blue as the five sat in front of their tree with a giant gonk in the background, and Pedro Neto snuggled up to his partner Carolina Silva and their two dogs.
