A newly released video shows the disturbing moment Ruby Franke’s abused son arrives at a neighbor’s house in shackles asking for help and directions to the police.
Doorbell camera footage shows the emaciated and badly bruised 12-year-old boy tentatively approaching Ivins, Utah, residents on their porch after managing to escape his mother’s torture through a window.
Franke, 42, was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison in February for brutally abusing two of her six children in a “concentration camp-like environment,” and photos of the crime scene were released a month later, doorbell videos and interrogation tapes.
The YouTube mom, who gave parenting advice to her 2.5 million subscribers, subjected her children to horrors that included starvation and forced her son to endure severe sunburn by working outdoors for several weeks without protection appropriate.
His business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, A mental health counselor, she was also sentenced to 30 years after it was revealed she was involved in the abuse. Franke’s ex-husband, Kevin, had not seen the children for more than a year.

New images show the moment when the 12-year-old boy manages to escape from Franke’s house and goes to his neighbors’ house for help.
The 12-year-old boy in the newly released video had just escaped from Hildebrandt’s home, investigators said.
He is seen ringing his neighbors’ doorbell and walking away because he thinks no one is home, until a neighbor calls him back.
“I was wondering if you could do me two favors,” the boy says politely.
‘Well, what are they?’ the neighbor responds.
“They will take me to the nearest police station,” the young man responds before being asked to sit down and explain what happened. He also said that he needed police officers for “personal matters.”
Then the neighbors, a man and a woman, give him water and a banana while they dial 911. They can be heard telling the police that he has duct tape around his feet and sores all over his body.
“Oh, you’re a good boy,” the woman tells the boy as she crouches down to his level and places her hands on his shoulders.

The popular YouTuber was arrested along with her partner Jodi Hildebrandt in August and charged with six counts of child abuse after one of her children was discovered with open wounds and duct tape on his limbs.

Police discovered a narrow safe room in the basement of the property that was locked from the outside, with rope that would be used to tie children and adult diapers.
Meanwhile, footage from the officer’s body camera shows the moment cops discovered the young woman crouching alone in a basement inside Franke’s home.

A nine-year-old girl was seen with scratches all over her arms and bruise marks on her ankle.
The children were subjected to torture, such as being tied with ropes, forced to wear adult diapers, and locked in a small safe room.
They were regularly denied food, water, beds to sleep in, and virtually any form of entertainment.
Meanwhile, footage shows the kitchen and pantry were filled with food and Franke’s large office dedicated to making YouTube videos.
The young children were forbidden to interact with others and were hidden in the house when people came to visit.
Investigators added that they were forced to perform manual labor outdoors in the extreme summer heat, without shoes or socks.
Both children were told that they were possessed and that the torture was done as a way to help them.
The 12-year-old boy told authorities that Hildebrandt had tied him up and used home remedies to treat his injuries.

Washington County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Ryan Shaum said in a written statement that Franke and Hildebrandt’s actions amounted to “some of the worst child abuse” he had seen in nearly 30 years of prosecution.
‘For more than three months, the two children, aged 9 and 11-12, were held by their mother and her business partner in a concentration camp.
After her arrest, Franke broke down while speaking in court as she apologized to her ‘chicks’ and told the judge she was willing to serve her sentence.
In court in February, Franke broke down in tears when she told Kevin Franke, who was present in the courtroom, that he was the love of her life.
She said, ‘I’m sorry to let you finish what we both started together.’ The end of our marriage is a tragedy and you were wrapped in my heart.
