Footage of a “strange-looking” beast slithering through a West Virginia park has left residents and experts baffled.
Brittany Keller was driving to work on October 24 when she first saw the animal near a group of deer at Ritter Park in Huntington. It had dark fur with a long white stripe and a curved tail.
Dazed, Keller rolled down the window to record a video with her cell phone and told him WSAZ 3News: “When I stopped to take a better look, I realized it was nothing I’d ever seen here before.”
When Keller asked other local residents what they thought it was, they were equally perplexed. A woman who was shown the images on Keller’s phone responded: ‘Oh my God! But really, what is that?

Keller seemed amused by her response and replied, “I don’t know.”
He then passed two other women walking through the park with children in strollers.
After leaning over to look at the photo, one of the women The eyes widened and she laughed and blurted out, ‘Oh my God.’
Later in the clip, he said it looks like a ‘nightmare’, while his young daughter cried in the background.
Keller posted his unusual sighting on his social media pages, where many people tried to figure out what the mysterious animal could be.
One person asked if it was a lemur. But Andy McKee, a member of the Zoological Zone Scientific Center, said lemurs are from the island of Madagascar, so it would be very strange to find one in that area unless it was someone’s pet.
Another resident Keller approached stated that “it’s definitely a lion cub.” ‘I’m going to continue with that. That’s my answer,’ they added.
When Keller asked other local residents what they thought it was, they were equally perplexed.
He added: “It looks more like a fox with mange or some kind of problem than a lemur.”
