Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses are both hitting the road with postponed tours this summer

On Tuesday, Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses both announced they were hitting the road (separately) this summer with tours postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tickets go on sale this Friday for the 11-time Grammy-winning rock band – formed in Seattle circa 1994 – six-date 26th birthday tour.

It kicks off on July 28 at Ohio’s ICON Festival Stage in Cincinnati’s Smale Park.

Ready to rock? On Tuesday, Foo Fighters (L) and Guns N’ Roses (R) both announced they were hitting the road (separately) this summer for tours postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Foo Fighters – who released their 10th album Medicine at Midnight on February 5 – also headlined the Chicago music festival Lollapalooza, which takes place in Grant Park from July 29 to August 1.

And on October 30, the Shame Shame rockers will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the ceremony at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena in Cleveland.

“I recently realized it’s been half my life since I’ve been in this band,” Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said. rolling stone last month.

“In a way, I feel like I’ve almost neglected how much we’ve done in the past 25 years. Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses start their 36th date We are F’N’Back Tour on July 31 at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania.

The tour will be opened by the bassist son of the late Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang, whose band is Mammoth WVH.

The Nightrain Fan Club’s presale begins Tuesday, while public tickets go on sale next Friday.

The hard rock band – formed in LA circa 1985 – may not have Grammys, but they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide (45 million in the United States).
