Mayweather, 47, was shopping in London’s jewelry district when he got into a heated argument with several people on the street.

“Let me make things clear… there is no truth to the rumors that are circulating,” Mayweather’s statement began.
“They didn’t hit me or touch me in any way. What you’re seeing is simply my security doing its job to keep things under control.

“I was in the UK for a quick 48 hour stop to do some shopping and unfortunately people let jealousy and negativity fuel false stories. I’m perfectly fine and there’s really nothing else.
Mayweather’s account of the events differed from that of a witness who said the sun that the boxer, who retired with a perfect 50-0 record in 2017, ‘took some hits.’

The clash comes after he pledged support for Israel amid its conflict with Hamas.
When the conflict with Hamas began last year, Mayweather pledged his loyalty to Israel on social media, insisting that he “supports” the country.
He wrote: ‘I stand with Israel against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas does not represent the people of Palestine but is a terrorist group that is attacking innocent lives!
