A Florida real estate agent has revealed a creepy dungeon beneath a house that was listed for sale, insisting she has never seen anything like it before.

Jessica Law posted the video showing her walking through the house and opening a white door.

Viewers can see a grid-like iron door that opens to a staircase leading to the “dungeon.”

Law explained: “It’s an iron door with a rotating latch that leads to an underground room.”

The creator says in the video that the original house was built in 1958.

As you walk down the stairs, viewers can see a white concrete room that features a functional water system, electricity, and a dehumidifier.

You can also see a multicolored rug and a red sofa stored in a corner.

Law asks in the video what people think the room was used for and if they would be willing to stay there.

The TikTok community soon began responding and coming up with their own theories, both positive and terrifying.

One user said the room was a ‘nuclear bunker’ because the door latch is on the inside, plus wrapping it around the concrete walls helps against initial radiation exposure (you can’t turn the corners). We have one in our basement (no security door).’

Another joked: “Just a storm shelter.” Look at the side of the door handle that is on.

One user walked down a fictional path and wrote: ‘That’s a werewolf den for full moons! I have one in my house too,’ while another said what everyone feared: ‘It’s a torture room.’

One concerned user also wrote: ‘Secure room. For post-apocalyptic purposes.’

This house is just one of many houses that appeared on TikTok following the discovery of a secret room.

New York-based content creator Mystee Ipong had posted a TikTok series documenting her journey to find a “random room in (her) basement that had been closed off in (her) 200-year-old house.”

She “noticed there was a leak” with “water backing up” from a mysterious spot in the basement, and her plumbers told her she needed to tear down the wall so they could find the broken pipe causing the damage.

In a series of videos, Mystee’s husband Ken is shown trying to open the wall in his “creepy basement” as he explains to his followers the “interesting story” he discovered over time.

Mystee informed her viewers that there was new stone “covering an entire room and you can even see the doorway around it.”

Their goal was to discover what was inside the “creepy room that has been locked.”

He later confessed that he went down a ‘rabbit hole’ of research and shared that since the couple lived ‘just outside of Rochester,’ he knew ‘there were some ties to the Underground Railroad.’

Mystee explained that the famous abolitionist Harriet Tubman was in Rochester at one point, as it was one of the places where slaves stopped on their journey to freedom and Frederick Douglass owned a house in the city.

However, she wasn’t sure if her specific city had ties.

The house was owned by Lucy Jane Blodgett, who I knew because they purchased the original lithographs of the house online.

Mystee also looked up Clarkson and the Underground Railroad and discovered that there was a known station eight minutes away.

He noted that the distance is only half a mile from his house, which he found interesting.

Once he learned the name of the homeowner, he began searching for the last name and eventually found a person “who posted on many different discussion boards about having a great-uncle who was part of the Underground Railroad.”

His name was John Blodgett and after checking his ancestry, he discovered that he was actually Lucy’s own great-grandson.

The couple also discovered through the historic district that there was a mill nearby and that part of it was preserved.

The mill was located just 100 meters from their house so they went to check it out.

Mystee posted a fourth follow-up video showing the mill and tunnel.

She told viewers that she contacted both John and the Historical Society in an attempt to get more information.

He also discovered that one of the descendants of one of the previous owners of the house was related to a “quite prominent family” within their village and “they have a preserved house closer to the center of the village.”

Mystee admitted that she was “very interested in the history” and that it had been the highlight of purchasing the house.
