A Florida teen and his grandmother have been arrested for allegedly harboring a 16-year-old girl after she went missing last month.
Aliyah Duncan was reported missing in Lake County on September 5 and since then, police have interviewed several family members and known people of the missing youth.
But on Oct. 9, Duncan was found in a Lake County home where her boyfriend, Damion Anderson, and his grandmother, Debbie Myers, lived.
The duo is charged by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with interference with child custody, providing false information to law enforcement and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The 63-year-old was released the same day after posting $4,000 bail. It is not known whether Anderson, also a juvenile, has served time in prison.

The Sheriff’s Office has not revealed why Duncan was at Anderson’s home. In the early stages, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said News 6 that the missing youth had ‘left of his own accord’.
In an Instagram post, the Sheriff’s Office said they met with those arrested nearly a dozen times in three weeks and each time Anderson and Myers provided little to no information.
“Both parties provided little information as they were adamant that they had no knowledge of the minor’s whereabouts.
“Anderson and Myers were made aware of the numerous resources used to locate the juvenile.
“Additionally, they were both advised of the criminal charges they could face if they had knowledge of the minor’s location and chose to withhold that information from law enforcement.

Neither of Duncan’s parents nor any of her relatives have made any statements at any point in her lost and found case.

Officials confirmed that Duncan had been at the duo’s home the entire time she was missing
“Myer’s response was that she felt the extensive search was becoming ‘ridiculous’ and that whoever was responsible for assisting the minor should be charged,” the Bureau wrote.
Officials also confirmed that Duncan had been at their home since she went missing.
“After utilizing multiple different investigative strategies and extensive resources, the juvenile was ultimately found at Myers and Anderson’s residence.
“She was there the entire time and was reported missing,” they said.
At the time of disappearance, Duncan was described as being 6 feet tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen near the 36800 block of Sundance Drive in Grand Island, Florida.
