A Florida man now holds a Guinness World Record after watching the three-hour Marvel movie Avengers: Endgame a whopping 191 times in cinemas in just 94 days.
Ramiro Alanis, a 32-year-old personal trainer from Riverview, officially broke the Guinness World Record for ‘The Most Cinema Productions Attended – Same Film’ after seeing the most recent Avengers movie nearly 200 times in 2019.
But Ramiro, who juggled his movie with his job as a supervisor at his family’s construction company, said his accomplishment came at a cost, wiped out his social life and caused him to lose 16 pounds. muscle strength by not going to the gym.

“ The hardest part of this effort was giving up my social life with my family, the gym (I lost 16 pounds of muscle) and managing my work hours, ” he said
Ramiro’s record-breaking film series began on April 26, 2019, when Avengers: Endgame premiered in theaters.
“ I bought tickets five times on the opening weekend to watch it so I wouldn’t miss anything, ” he said. CNN‘Then I started going every day and posting my rounds or views because I really love the movie.’
The film had the biggest box office opening ever, at $ 1.2 billion, and went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time (a title he later lost to Avatar after being reissued in China).
“After watching Endgame shatter records and make history, I decided to do it,” he said.
Ramiro saw that the previous record for ‘Most Cinema Productions Attended – Same Film’ was held by Anthony Mitchell, who watched Avengers: Infinity War 103 times at his local cinema in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Wanting to break it, he saw Endgame – which is three hours and two minutes long, with no credits – twice on weekdays and four or five times on Saturdays and Sundays.
Ramiro told Guinness World Records that he received a lot of support from ‘family, friends, managers and staff of the theaters I attended’ as well as fans who followed his triumph on social media.
But he also spent all his free time in the theater, giving up his social life and fitness habits.
“The hardest part about this effort was giving up my social life with my family, the gym (I lost 16 pounds of muscle) and managing my work hours and showing times in theaters,” he said.
By June 14, 2019, he had watched the movie 116 times. Before the end of July, that was 191 times.
Last month, he confirmed he was officially recognized for breaking the record by writing on Twitter: ‘I’m Officially Amazing !!!’

He said that of all the characters, he is best associated with Captain America.
“His character embodies many values that I stand for, justice, kindness, thinking of others above himself,” he said.
As for anyone wanting to attempt a similar feat, Ramiro says they should “ plan according to your record attempt and prepare yourself the best you can, physically and mentally, anything is possible. ”
