Chelsea Waddell has confirmed she has split from Flight Facilities star Jimmy Lyell.
The fine arts consultant took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to announce her ‘painful’ split from the Australian DJ, with whom she shares two children.
In an emotional statement, she written: ‘After much reflection, I need to share that my relationship with Jimmy has come to an end. “This was not a decision made lightly.”
“This is an incredibly difficult time for me and our two children, but my focus now is on healing, growing, and creating a positive future for myself and my two young children,” she continued.
‘The children we share are my absolute priority and my greatest source of strength as we move forward.
‘As a very private person, I am not sharing this to invite sympathy or to start conversations about it.

‘I’m sharing this because I want to be honest with the people we’re connected to, but most of all I want to avoid the pain of having to explain this over and over again to people.
‘So I ask you kindly, if you see me, let’s leave this topic out. This is a conversation that is too painful for me to have right now.
“Thank you for respecting my privacy and giving me space as my children and I navigate this big change in our lives.”
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Chelsea and Flight Facilities for comment. Chelsea declined to comment.
The couple, who live in Byron Bay, have been together since 2017 but are believed to have met in 2009.
In 2021 interviewChelsea said: ‘Jim and I met in what now, during 2021, seems very romantic and old-fashioned – it was 12 years ago in a nightclub.
“I was working the door and he was the DJ playing there that night.”
They did not strike up a romance until later and Jimmy, also known by his stage name Jimmy2Sox, began appearing in posts on Chelsea’s Instagram in March 2018.
It is not known exactly how long the couple (pictured), who live in Byron Bay, have been together, but it is believed they first met in 2009.
They welcomed their first child together, a son named Louie, in April 2020 and welcomed their second child less than a year ago, in June 2024.
They also run a luxury rental accommodation called Joints in Byron Bay and frequently share glimpses inside the sprawling pad on social media.
Jimmy is best known for being one half of the popular Australian DJ group Flight Facilities, which he founded with Hugo Gruzman in 2009.
They rose to fame in 2014 with their debut album Down to Earth, which features names such as Kylie Minogue, Emma Louise, Reggie Watts and Bishop Nehru.
Just a few weeks ago in December, the DJ duo were criticized and accused of shaming drug fans when they shared a shocking video from their concert.
Flight Facilities posted a now-deleted video of two fans in the crowd getting high, and then fans accused them of “taking advantage of people’s vulnerability.”
Fans criticized the electronic musicians for “disrespecting” concertgoers by sharing their experience – and their faces – with drugs with millions of viewers online.
One TikTok user AnneArchery made her own video She criticized Flight Facilities for the shocking move and said she was “disgusted” that they would do such a thing.

‘The level of disrespect you would have to have towards your fans to do that. Maybe the people in the crowd don’t care. But now I’m wondering: would I go to a flight facility event? Probably not.
“And if I went, I definitely wouldn’t be having a good time because I’d be nervous all the time.”
Anne said that while she does not condone drug use, it is no one else’s business if someone decides to use drugs, claiming Flight Facilities was “taking advantage of people’s vulnerability” for the sake of online views.

Flight Facilities removed the video following the backlash, but still has a similar video from September pinned to its TikTok page.
