A flight attendant on duty has taken a peek at her typical morning routine — including 3am wakes, scalding hot showers and sunrise flights.
Shani Turner, from Melbourne, needs to look groomed no matter what time of day or night she works, so relies on a combination of good skincare, a simple makeup routine and piping hot showers to keep looking and feeling great. to feel her best.
“Good morning, today I am going to work to do a return flight to Hobart so this is my typical morning routine,” Shani wrote on her TikTok page.

On any given day when she starts at 5am, Shani said she got up at 3am to take a hot shower and do her skincare before heading to the airport.
“Skin care is super important to me,” Shani said as she washed her face with a foaming cleanser and started applying serums and moisturizers.
Shani hardly ever wears makeup to work, and just applies a coat of mascara to make sure her lashes look groomed and then brushes her brows to make sure they look polished.
“Then I’ll do my hair and put some hairspray in it,” Shani said.
Freshly washed hair is the hardest thing to get back into a ponytail or bun. I use my slicker brush to get all the flies and then tuck it into a bun. Finished!’

After this, Shani dons her uniform, grabs a cup of coffee from her machine at home and quickly eats a slice of toast with Vegemite before leaving for work.
“Normally I don’t have breakfast because it’s literally the middle of the night, but I needed it this morning,” the flight attendant said.
She then goes to the airport and is on board by the time the sun comes up.
Shani (pictured) usually finishes work around 3pm and goes home to make dinner because when her fiancé is home they eat together around 6:30pm to 7pm
Speak with Nine, Shani revealed what the rest of the day looks like when she finishes a shift.
“I usually finish work around 3pm, I go home and arrange dinner for my fiancé gets home so we can eat together, and I start tapering around 6:30-7pm,” she told the publication.
“Usually I jump into bed around 7:30 PM so I can completely unwind with my love, we chat and share our stories of the day.”
Shani said the difficult part of her job is the changing lifestyle, which can make it difficult for her to spend time with the people she loves.
“Spending quality time can be very difficult, so we make the most of it if we can,” she said.
Shani religiously avoids any screen time about 30 minutes before she goes to sleep, and swears by blackout blinds to keep her asleep no matter the time of day.
