Kelly Clarkson hosted the annual ceremony, which airs on NBC, and the Backstreet Boys were there to perform.
On sons…THE BACKSTREET BOYS…and we were backstage in their dressing room…security came up to me and said: @nbc doesn’t want me in this area and I need to leave.’
He added in the lengthy note: ‘At the same time… his social media wife reached out and asked to capture social content.
‘What did I do to NBC or anyone else? All I do is try to spread joy and love… and I think I did that for NBC at the Olympics.’
The last part of the post referred to his reception at this year’s Paris Olympics, which were broadcast on the network.

The former VH1 personality, who starred in the reality show Flavor of Love, deleted the original tweet but followed up with a second.
“I deleted the tweet… but my spirit is broken,” he wrote to his nearly 200,000 followers on the social media platform.
There has been no word from either NBC or the Backstreet Boys following the alleged incident.
It comes after the rapper recently had to clarify comments he made about singer-songwriter Chappell Roan being “rude” to fans.
He had previously suggested during an appearance on TMZ’s new Christmas special, Merry Elfin’ that the pop star was making a big “mistake” in the way she treats her fans.
And he encouraged the Hot To Go hitmaker to be more grateful.
“Honestly, I think it’s one of the biggest mistakes you can make because it’s all the people that make you who you are to society,” she said at the time. ‘If people can take time for you, you should be able to take time for them.
‘It scares me when no one comes to ask me for a selfie. I get nervous! I ask myself, “What did I do? Did I arrive at the right clock today?”
Taking X, Flavor, 65, born William Jonathan Drayton Jr., explained his side of the story in a now-deleted post.
“I deleted the tweet… but my spirit is broken,” he wrote to his nearly 200,000 followers on the social media platform.
The five singers, Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell, reunited for the Christmas appearance.
The next day, Flav explained his claim in an X post.
He admitted that he didn’t know enough about Chappell’s “situation” to comment and then praised the message Good luck, babe! Artist for speaking for herself.
“They asked me about Chappell Roan and told me that she was rude to fans,” she shared. “I don’t really know her or the situation and I said it’s a mistake because it’s the fans that make us who we are.”
‘BUT…if there are people who threaten her privacy or boundaries…it’s good for her to talk!!’
He concluded the statement by referencing his hit single Hot To Go while signing off: ‘We are Good and Hot to Go!!’
