FKA twigs stuns in a quirky ensemble as she celebrates her stunning British Vogue cover at new editorial leader Chioma Nnadi’s launch party

FKA looked stunning in a whimsical ensemble as she arrived at Chioma Nnadi’s launch party to celebrate her first British Vogue issue as editor-in-chief on Thursday.

The singer-songwriter, 36, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, surprises on the cover of the magazine’s April edition.

And when she made her entrance to Chioma’s star-studded bash, FKA turned heads when she down at Ladbroke Hall in Notting Hill.

The artist wore a corset mini dress, towering green platforms and upped the ante with a statement faux fur coat with striking long pins.

FKA joined Chioma at the event and posed for a gorgeous array of snaps inside the stunning venue.

Chioma, who replaced former editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, wowed in brightly colored trousers and heels paired with a rose print blouse.

The new editor-in-chief, previously praised by Anna Wintour for her ‘impeccable’ reputation, will become the first black woman to edit the fashion magazine.

In the issue, FKA described the aftermath of her abusive relationship with Shia LaBeouf and discussed her new romance with photographer Jordan Hemingway.

The Cellophane singer shed light on her nearly year-long relationship with the actor in 2018, causing shockwaves.

The star made headlines in 2020 when she filed a lawsuit against the Transformers star, 37, accusing the actor of sexual abuse, assault and emotional distress. The trial is expected in October this year.

On the aftermath of her relationship with Shia: ‘I think, naively, I thought it would be like any other breakup, that I’d be sad for six months to a year and then one day I’d wake up up and all would be well…

“But the fact is that being abused changes your whole nervous system. Because my tolerance window is now much smaller than it used to be, my body manifests stress in really extreme ways – it really shows me when it’s upset. ‘

FKA filed suit against the star with a series of explosive allegations, which the actor finally addressed in 2022, although the singer slammed his ‘gaslighting’.

The pair dated for just under a year in 2018, after meeting on the set of US drama Honey Boy’, with Twigs later accusing him of ‘relentless abuse’ and ‘knowingly passing on a sexually transmitted disease’.

She described their relationship as ‘the worst thing I’ve ever been through in my life’.

He admitted in an interview in 2022: ‘I hurt that woman. And in the process of doing that, I hurt a lot of other people and a lot of other people before that woman.

‘I was a lust-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, ruthless, fearful person… When I think about what my life has become and what it is now, as well as what my purpose is now… I must be useful. ‘

Among her claims, FKA accuses Shia of violently assaulting and strangling her, intentionally infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease and physical and verbal abuse.

But Shia, who has been diagnosed with PTSD and alcoholism, insisted in 2022 that he is in a better place now, branding himself a ‘public sinner’.

In her Vogue spread, FKA elaborated on the effects of her pain, writing: ‘I’ve had to be very compassionate with myself and really listen to myself to get better…

‘Now I want to challenge myself to know more about the simple, most pure and important things: love, nature, food, a non-toxic lifestyle, my body. The path I’m on is not the pastel pink yoga leggings aesthetic.’

Since then, she has found love with Jordan, who she went public with last year. In Vogue, she delved into their union, saying: ‘You know, it just takes the right person…
