Instagram-famed baker Eloise Head shared her three-ingredient Oreo sponge cake recipe, which fans say is her easiest dessert yet.
The London chef, who became a social media sensation during the first Covid lockdown in early 2020 by sharing photos of simple yet decadent candies, makes the cake with milk, baking powder and a packet of Golden Oreos.
Mrs. Head tops the cake with a layer of chocolate ganache, which she makes from a block of white chocolate and cream – but this step is optional.
Photos of the cake – which features a luscious sponge center and smooth chocolate top – have gone viral on Instagram, garnering nearly 40,000 ‘likes’ since they were uploaded online April 27.

Mrs. Head starts by separating the two-sided cookies and grinding the pieces into fine crumbs.
She adds a teaspoon of baking powder, 250 ml of milk and the Oreo filling and mixes until all the ingredients are fully combined.
Ms Head grease a 7 cm cake tin with butter and pour in the mixture, then place the container in the microwave for seven minutes.
Once cooked, put the cake on a wire rack to cool and make the topping by mixing 100ml piping hot double cream with 300g white chocolate.

“I decorated mine with Oreo crumbs and white chocolate ganache, but feel free to decorate however you like,” she said.
The cake has garnered hundreds of elated responses, with one woman complaining that she would be “ as big as a house ” if she continued making Mrs. Head’s simple desserts.
“This looks great,” replied a second.
