Richard Simmons’ rep assured fans that the reclusive fitness guru, 75, was “in good health and not dying” after the star sparked concern with a cryptic message about mortality on Monday.

Taking to Facebook, the 75-year-old reflected on her existence, saying “I’m dying…we’re all dying” before giving her fans some fitness advice in a cryptic post.

He wrote: “I have some news to tell you. Please do not be sad. I die. Oh, I can see your faces now. The truth is that we are all dying. Every day we live, we get closer to our death.

‘Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest every day. Get up in the morning and look at the sky…count your blessings and enjoy them.

“Start with a healthy breakfast. Do you like oatmeal…. Whole wheat toast ..eggs once or twice a week Fresh fruit or half an English muffin?

“Then there’s lunch. How about a good salad? Don’t eat dinner too late. Mix your proteins with a starch and some vegetables. And of course, every once in a while, have dessert. One day of eating healthy will lead to the next…and the next.

“Every day of your life you have to move. Whether standing or sitting, you need to move your body every day. Start with stretching then cardio and strength.

“I have lots of workout videos on YouTube that you can use. Or maybe you have home videos. And before bed, do some stretches. Stretch your neck. Your shoulders…and your arms…and don’t forget your legs. Make a few circles with your ankles. Point and flex your feet and I promise you’ll get a better night’s sleep.

“There is something else very important that you must do. Tell those you love that you love them. Hug the people and children you truly care about. A big hug really goes a long way.

“If you have time, I want you to listen to a great song. It’s by Tim McGraw and it’s called Live Like You Were Dying. Live today and don’t forget to pray.

“My love, Richard. »

Simmon’s spokesperson Tom Estey told DailyMail.com: “I can confirm with 100% certainty that Richard is not dying.

Development of a biopic centering on Simmons’ life began as early as April of last year, when Pauly Shore expressed interest in playing the fitness instructor.

At the time, the 55-year-old actor claimed he had made contact with the reclusive media figure and was trying to get his blessing for the project.

The performer then played the fitness instructor in a short film called The Court Jester, which premiered last week during the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

It was then revealed that Shore would actually play Simmons in a full-length biopic earlier this month.

The reclusive media figure was quick to disavow the project and he shared a post on his Facebook account earlier this month letting his fans know via Variety that he had “never given my permission for this film”.

The production company added: “We respect his desire for privacy and plan to produce a film that honors him, celebrates him and tells a dramatic story.”

Shore later emphasized that the project would not ridicule Simmons’ accomplishments during an interview with Varietyand he said the feature’s creative team “don’t want to bother him.”
