Zacahry Levi battles the elements in the first look at a true survival thriller Not without hope.
In the Joe Carnahan-directed feature film, the Shazam! The star plays Nick Schuyler, who, along with his friends Will Bleakley and NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, are stranded at sea after their fishing boat capsizes 70 miles away in the Gulf of Mexico. A heavy storm comes their way and violently throws the four friends into the icy water. With the U.S. Coast Guard’s air and sea rescue mission thwarted by the ferocity of the massive storm, the group must fight for survival in the ultimate test of teamwork and endurance.
The film, based on the New York Times bestseller by Schuyler and Jeré Longman, also stars Josh Duhamel, Quentin Plair and Marshall Cook. Production in Malta was completed in June, prior to the SAG strike.
Highland Film Group controls the international rights to the film, which will be sold at the Toronto Film Festival.
