The challenger bank will be running a monthly prize draw in October and November to celebrate its 35th birthday, with 10 £3,500 jackpots up for grabs along with smaller cash prizes.

But there’s still time for customers to enter the October and November drawings. Here’s what First Direct customers need to know.

How does the draw work?
First Direct customers must register for the giveaway to be eligible to enter the giveaway.
Customers can sign up for free by email or via the promotion banner in the First Direct app.
The customer only has to register for one of the draws to be able to participate in all the remaining draws, it is not necessary to register for each individual draw.
There are 4,235 £100 prizes and 235 £35 prizes in each draw, in addition to the 10 £3,500 jackpots.
The deadline to enter the October drawing is October 31 at 11:59 p.m. and the deadline for the November drawing is November 30 at 11:59 p.m.
To be eligible, customers must live in the UK, be over 18 years old and have a single or joint First Direct current account that was opened on or before 1 July 2024.
Customers must complete 30 debit card transactions, which cannot include credit or insurance card payments, cash withdrawals, card-to-card payments or gambling transactions.
Your checking account must remain open until the prize payment has been made.
You will not be eligible to receive the prize drawing payment if you close your account before the prize payment has been made.
Drawing winners will be chosen randomly using computer software on November 13 for the October drawing and December 11 for the November drawing.
Winners will be contacted by First Direct by email within 14 days of the draw date and the prize will be paid directly into the customers checking account within 14 days of the draw taking place.
