After your Helldiver thaws out on your ship, you and your squadmates must prepare for a mission by customizing your armor, weapons, and stratagems together.
Creating your team feels like part of mission preparation: changing your weapon to suit not only your appetite for destruction, but also the mission and the types of enemies you may encounter. Your biggest help as a Helldiver are Stratagems: powerful tools that can be summoned with short button combinations. Everything from airstrikes to Hellpods containing bigger and badder weapons to defensive gear and additional supplies is at your fingertips.
When selecting Stratagems, it will be essential to coordinate with your team to select the best possible loadout for enemies and mission type. If you’re up against armored enemies, like the Terminid Loader, you or a squadmate can equip armor-piercing weapons, like the AT-48 recoilless rifle or AC-8 autocannon, which feature teammate-assisted reloading to keep up the battles. even more chaotic.
But don’t fall asleep on those defensive ploys either. While one Helldiver is handling heavy fire, another Helldiver can summon a shield generator to protect teammates while enemies fall back. In a team of four, you’ll be able to select a combination of stratagems and weapons that will lead to a unique victory each time.
Ready for action
Once your Hellpod lands on a planet, you can start calling in support stratagems, including more powerful weapons, shield generators, and supply backpacks.
Each member of your squad can play their own style: some of you will charge into the fight, others will summon a sniper rifle stratagem and keep a safe distance while taking out enemies. You can even sneak out of encounters if your team moves carefully. Everyone is free to decide how they want to spread Managed Democracy: up close and personal, or with tactical supervision.
Of course, once the action really starts, get used to dying. The enemy hordes are not only relentless, but you might run into some stray bullets from your fellow Helldivers. Either way, his team’s first priority is to use a backup ploy to call his new Helldiver to the planet to pick up right where he left off. You can even grab the weapons left behind by your previous corpse.
Not only is there cooperative combat, but you’ll also have cooperative objectives to tackle with your team. You will be able to share locations with each other and move around the map together. You’ll also find optional objectives to complete, which require a little detour with your teammates, and of course, require more ammunition. But you will be rewarded for your efforts.
