A fire broke out Tuesday at the Dallas Cowboys’ team hotel in Oxnard, California, where the team’s training camp is located.
No injuries were reported from the fire.
Video from local media It shows smoke coming out of a condominium. at the Oxnard Residence Inn, where the Cowboys are staying during their roughly month-long training camp. The team was conducting a walk-through at the time of the fire and continued practicing while firefighters responded.

Head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after practice that no one was injured in the fire. The Cowboys later issued a statement saying the fire had been contained to a single room and thanked emergency responders for putting it out.
“There was a fire emergency in one of the guest rooms this afternoon at the team hotel in Oxnard, California.” The statement reads:“The emergency was limited to one room, which was vacant at the time, and there were no injuries. The Dallas Cowboys would like to thank the Oxnard Fire Department and the Oxnard Police Department for their quick response and reaction to the situation.”
No further details about the fire were initially released. Neither officials nor the Cowboys would discuss the cause of the blaze. It is unclear whether the fire occurred in a room where a Cowboys player or staff member was located.
The Cowboys traveled as a team to Oxnard on July 23 and held their first training camp practice on July 25. They will hold their final practice in Oxnard on Thursday before traveling home to host the Los Angeles Chargers in their final preseason game on Saturday.
The Cowboys will then complete preseason practices at the team’s facility in Frisco, Texas, before their regular-season opener on Sept. 8 against the Cleveland Browns.
