The developer received a query on Twitter saying, “Has the battle system changed from Final Fantasy V7 Remake?” Battles and Engagement Director Teruki Endo replied, “In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, new companions will join you in battle and you can collaborate with your other team members in closer ways than before. before”.
