Filtered images reveal the first real glimpse of the Note 10 competitor equipped with Motorola stylus
Real images of Motorola’s stylus-equipped phone filter online and confirm competitor details
- The images of a new Motorola device suggest that it will come with a pencil
- It would be the first Motorola device to have a needle in a decade
- The phone would mark another incursion into a territory dominated by Samsung
- Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 also has an innovative stylus called S-Pen
The Motorola Galaxy Note competitor has been confirmed by new images of the device that leaked online.
The images, obtained by 91Mobile, show a complete image of the front and back of the device and reveal a camera array similar to previous Motorola devices.
According to 91Mobiles, the array of cameras facing the phone will have a 48-megapixel sensor and a 117-degree wide-angle lens.
The leaks suggest that the phone, which 91Mobiles calls Moto G Stylus, will have a screen size of approximately 6.4 inches, 4 GB of RAM and a 6-series Snapdragon processor.
Images filtered by 91Mobile reveals the first real look at Motorola’s next pencil phone: the company’s first pencil device in about a decade
The images follow the leaks of Evan Blass, a frequent provider of information about upcoming mobile phones, which showed a representation of Motorola’s pencil phone that could be launched sometime this year.
In an image released by Blass, the phone, an elegant, almost full-screen device, with a self-drilling camera fixed in the upper left corner, you can see a pen tilted on the screen.
A new image leaked by Blass (pictured) shows a Motorola device that comes with a pencil, possibly the company’s first pencil phone in a decade.
As noted Engadget, who was the first to report the apparent filtered images, the pencil is important not only because it would be the first phone with a stylus in 10 years, but because it marks another attempt to invade the space already dominated by Samsung.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 was introduced late last year and has a distinctive stylus called S-Pen that can be used for several different actions, in addition to simply writing our drawing on the phone.
For example, a button on the S-Pen can tell the phone to start taking a video or photo remotely.
Motorola is already challenging Samsung in the folding phone market with a renewed $ 1,500 Razr that combines a retroactive form factor with modern technology, which includes a 6.2-inch flexible screen that folds in half to close it way the older clamshell phones.
Motorola’s new shaver will seek to bite a section of the folding phone market that is currently dominated by Samsung and Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei
Samsung was notably one of the first companies to introduce a mobile device with a flexible screen on its Galaxy Fold.
Of course, throwing a pencil with its apparent competitor Note is probably not enough to challenge Samsung.
Motorola is very likely to turn its pen into a multifunctional device such as the S-Pen, either through motion controls of similar design or other technology.
Until now, the price and a specific release date remain a mystery, but according to The Verge, the device could debut in April or potentially even before during a Mobile World Congress, even next month in Barcelona.
