A new study conducted by a sexual wellness guide known as Bed Bible has lifted the lid on which areas across America are most interested in X-rated content.
The company analyzed the number of Google searches for various popular sex toys and accessories – including ‘fleshlight’, ‘anal beads’, ‘glides’ and ‘rose toys’ – to find out which states are the wildest.
So who got the top spot? Georgia came in first with an average monthly search volume of 521 per 100,000 inhabitants.

There was a tie for first place between North Carolina and Colorado, both of which had 494 monthly searches per month. 100,000 inhabitants.
California was next with 488 searches per 100,000 residents, while Washington was seventh with 484.
Eighth place was given to Utah and Illinois, which got 479 Googles per 100,000 inhabitants.
Ninth went to Maryland, at 473, while rounding out the list in 10th place was Massachusetts, which had 462 per 100,000 searches every month.
According to the website – which is described as a ‘go-to source for product reviews, insightful statistics and educational content about sexual wellness’ – the state with the least amount of kinky Google queries was South Dakota.
The midwestern state received just 322 searches per 100,000 residents each month.
A sexual wellness expert from Bedbible said people should not be ashamed to search for sex toys.
In fact, they insisted that owning one can actually improve your mental health – as well as ‘alleviating problems with intimacy’.
“Sex toy users may experience less psychological distress than people who do not own one,” they said.
‘People who own sex toys are more likely to be satisfied with their sex lives and their relationships, and they often successfully use toys to alleviate intimacy issues.’
They added that Americans as a whole are getting ‘kinky’ when it comes to bedroom antics, with sales of BDSM paraphernalia such as ropes and whips at an all-time high.
“Even though people are buying more sex toys than ever, many people are still afraid to talk about it,” they continued.
“While the industry sees several trends and opportunities, the acceptance and use of sex toys remains taboo in many regions.”
As for the most popular sex toy, Fleshlights seem to be the favorite – as it was the most searched item in 44 out of 50 states; ‘rose toys’ was the top in six states.
As a whole, Americans search for the word ‘fleshlight’ a whopping 395,791 times per month on average.
