A FIFO worker who has been dubbed the ‘world’s most popular trucker’ spoke about the perks of her high-paying job and laughed at her haters.
Ashlea broke down her lavish lifestyle in a TikTok clip revealing that her job as a dump truck driver in remote Western Australian mines allows her plenty of free time to travel the world, party, eat at expensive restaurants and save big of money.
But The Salty Pinup, as she is known on her social media channels, has also attracted vicious online trolls who call her a ‘TikTok bimbo’.
“There’s a self-made (TikTtok creator) page and it’s titled World’s Sexiest Trucker,” he said.
It’s a bit too much responsibility, but I appreciate it.
‘If you’re a guy who says you’re not even that good, shut the fuck up. I didn’t write it right.’
FIFO worker Ashlea (pictured) has revealed how her high-paying job allows her to do ‘whatever she wants’ in response to a viewer’s question about her lifestyle.
The bubbly blonde said she makes it a “priority” to do “super cool shit.”
“I have an amazing life,” he said in the TikTok clip in response to a viewer’s question.
‘So how do I achieve this? Well, first of all, I make a two-and-two list, so every month I have two weeks off, which gives me a lot of time to do some really awesome stuff.
“If you follow me (on social media) you know I always go to events, I always party, I always travel, I always go out to eat, I do everything I love to do.” .’
Ashlea broke down the contributing factors that allowed her to finance her lavish lifestyle, including being single, debt-free and child-free.
He also recently sold an investment property and currently lived at home with his mother.
“I just sold my investment property, so my bank account is looking pretty good right now,” he said.
“I literally do whatever I want.”
Ashlea then revealed that she would be traveling to the US at the end of July to travel across the country for roughly “five to six weeks.”

In the TikTok video, the bubbly blonde explained that factors like being single, not having kids, not having debt, and living at home also helped her finance her extravagant lifestyle.

Ashlea told her viewers that those who follow her on social media know she’s “always going to events, always partying, always traveling, always eating out.”
In a series of videos she shared last year, Ashlea described how much her salary has increased since she started as a FIFO worker.
‘When I started as an apprentice, I was paid $36 an hour and we worked 12 hour days. After about three months, my rate went up to $43.50 per hour. During my first year as an environmentalist (truck driver), I would have made between $94,000 and $95,000 a year,” he said.
After his first year in the mines, he changed contractors and received a large increase in salary as a result.
‘My new rate is about $51.50 an hour, so that’s pretty good. And the contracting company I’m with pays you a bonus every month you stay with them, that’s about $2,000,” he said.
‘Annually, at my rate of $51.50, that would be about $112,000 per year, my bonuses, which could be around $10,000. So about $122,000 for my first year.

Ashlea had no experience before applying for her first job in the mines and started out as a waitress for the first three months, before moving into contract work.

He managed to secure an investment property with the savings he’s made from his job.
‘I hope this helps. I think he’s fine enough to only work six months a year as a trucker.’

‘The trucks are very easy to drive. I was lucky enough to get a truck driver internship for the dump trucks with McMahons contractors and before going to the site they did a truck school at their head office in Perth,” he said in a previous video.
“So for two weeks I went to the head office in Perth and you learn all about the mine site, the different machines and you learn about the truck itself.
‘I felt confident after immediately flying to the site and starting to drive the truck. When you arrive at the site, though you don’t start driving right away.

Ashlea has largely had a fairly positive experience as a FIFO worker and uses her free time to book vacations and catch up with family and friends.
She added: ‘The cab of the truck is opposite her car and she has a very limited view into the truck. ‘

She describes the room she sleeps in as ‘clean and big’, there’s a women’s-only gym on site with pink wallpaper, free sanitary products in the bathrooms, and an array of fresh food on site.
Despite the stereotype, Ashlea said that most men are there to work and she doesn’t get undue attention from other employees.
