Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick breakfast show has topped Melbourne’s radio ratings ahead of The Kyle and Jackie O Show expansion to the city.

According to the latest GFK Radio Ratings survey, the 101.9 FOX FM show hosted by Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody attracts a whopping 663,000 listeners a day.

The hilarious program has been on air for a decade, and was also number one with listeners in the coveted 25-54 age group, with 410,000 people tuning in daily.

Their incredible success creates stiff competition for Sydney’s KIIS FM radio stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, whose breakfast show premieres in Melbourne on Monday 29 April.

Meanwhile, The Kyle and Jackie O Show is currently the second most listened to radio program in Sydney, with 851,000 listeners tuning in each weekday.

Since its debut in January 2004, the program has been a huge ratings winner in Sydney and last year was voted Australia’s most listened to radio programme.

However, the pair have never broadcast outside of Sydney before and it may take some time to establish an audience in Melbourne.

It comes after the launch date for The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s Melbourne expansion was confirmed this week.

Kyle, 52, and Jackie, 49, revealed their show will premiere in Melbourne on Monday April 29 at 06.00.

‘What we want to put in Melbourne has never been done before. Even if you already hate Jackie, give me a chance,” Kyle joked.

‘We want to give you a very different type of show. I’m not saying the others are the worst shows, they’re not. They have been fantastic, but we offer something different.’

‘We stick to what we know. In terms of daily content, nothing is changing, we’re not going to dumb things down or pull back,” Jackie added.

‘We look forward to finally shipping to Melbourne. We are excited.’

The pair promised the show would become more ‘inclusive’ of Melbourne and include the city in its awards ceremonies, which were previously only for Sydney residents.

In November, the pair signed a record $200 million 10-year contract, which will see them on the air for the next decade and expand into Melbourne.
