Ferrari-Star becomes a musician

Things are not going well for Charles Leclerc in Formula 1 at the moment. With a measly six points, the Ferrari star shares ninth place in the world championship driver standings with Haas driver Nico Hülkenberg after three races. The Monegasque has significantly more success as a musician.

Actually, Charles Leclerc does not see himself as an artist. Nevertheless, the Ferrari driver keeps posting photos and videos of himself on social networks that show him at the piano.

The Monegasque presents himself with similar virtuosity as the Formula 1 star Elio de Angelis, who died in an accident in 1986 and who once even appeared live on German television.

Now the 25-year-old Leclerc has released a piece of music that can be found on all major music streaming platforms. “AUS23 (1:1)” – that’s the name of the composition based on this year’s Australian Grand Prix, which was released on Tuesday.

Will the Ferrari star of Formula 1 survive?

However, motorsport fans do not have to be afraid that Leclerc is now turning his back on Formula 1. “First and foremost, I’m a racing driver,” the Ferrari star assured his followers on his Instagram stories: “And I definitely don’t define myself as an artist, but I enjoy what I do.”

Nevertheless, the Monegasque is of course anxious to make positive headlines in the Ferrari again soon. With just six points, which go back to a seventh place at the Jeddah Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia, Leclerc is currently only tenth in the world championship drivers’ standings. The 25-year-old retired from the season opener in Bahrain and the third race in Australia.

Leclerc says he started playing the piano at the age of six. In the Formula 1 podcast “Beyond the Grid” he recently announced that he has now also started playing the guitar – an instrument that is of course easier to transport than the Steinway piano that is in Leclerc’s apartment in Monaco.
